Fresh vegetables

As well as fresh local fruits we have a large selection of seasonal fresh vegetables from the Gibbens family in Hinton Waldrist, Faringdon.
We also have a seasonal supply of fresh vegetables from growers in the Isle of Wight.

Traditional old fashioned carrots with their tops on, fresh local asparagus, locally picked cauliflower – these and many more vegetables are all available when in season. Click to see what’s in season when.

Potatoes are sourced from Rectory Farm, Stanton St John in Oxfordshire. They grow a number of potato varieties throughout the season available loose or in a small 12kg or large 20kg sack.

New to us this year are a delicious selection of tomatoes from The Tomato Stall in the Isle of Wight. Tomatoes like they used to be; they are sweet and juicy and come in a variety of sizes and colours. We also stock a range of their sundried tomatoes, tomato juices and chutneys to complement their range.

As well as our English seasonal vegetables, we complement our range with a small selection of fresh vegetables from further afield to give customers variety.

Please note that the dates below are for use as a guide and can be effected by things like unseasonal weather conditions. If you are visiting to buy a specific item, please call us in advance to make sure we have what you want.
