News from the Farm

It has been a busy time on the farm with harvest and then drilling. The harvest is now in and the maize has recently been cut and put into storage for the Winter.

As it gets a little colder and the fields get wet and soggy the cows are being bought inside. You will see them in the barns, lazing out on the straw and eating the maze that has just been harvested!

The shooting season has now begun for pheasant and partridge. This means that we will have a ready supply available now in the butchery. Why not try something new on the menu in the tea room as they use some of the game on the specials board.

Venison is now becoming readily available again so you will see a variety of cuts on the butchery counter for you to try.
