The cows are being bought into the barns this week having been out in the fields over the summer.
They have had a lovely time out at grass but now it is time for them to come in the warm.
As we start to put the heating on at home it only seems fair to bring them into the barns.
Deep filled with straw, they seem very comfortable.
Now that they are in from the field they are fed a mixed ration of silage and rolled barley both of which are grown on the farm in Brightwalton.
If you are passing through the village, you might well see them in the barns.
