The Ilsley Under 5’s came to the farm shop for a drink and a biscuit last week. They were lucky enough to see the tractor and baler as well as collect chicken eggs. They thoroughly enjoyed their morning, and even had a sit in the tractor…….farmers in the making!!
The cows are out at grass and enjoying the sunshine. They have been inside all winter and are now in the grass fields. Some of them have their calves at foot. If you go into the village of Brightwalton you will see them grazing.

The first of the calves have now been born. So far so good and we have had 19 safe arrivals to date. Book on to the Beef Tour on 17th April where you will spend part of the day looking at the beef production unit and meeting the new arrivals!……more details coming soon!
The pigs are also getting near to finishing and in fact the first two have made it into the farm shop!! Have you tried them yet? Try before you buy and enjoy a hot sausage bap in the tea room with Susie’s Onion Chutney before you buy meat from the butchery.
