Run by Clare Whidborne, the third generation at Manor Farm Brightwalton and her team, the shop is a newly converted piggery situated in a picturesque rural location in the heart of West Berkshire.
Having been farming in Brightwalton for over 60 years it was decided to transform a redundant pig unit and run down area of the farm into a farm shop that sell its own Beef and homemade range as well as promote and supply local quality food from producers in the area.
So in 2012 with the help of a SEEDA grant, the redundant pig unit was converted into a light and airy farm shop and tea room.
As farmers we recognise the importance of supporting local enterprises. From the outset it’s been part of our policy to buy from as many local farmers and small, specialist suppliers as possible. We aim to bring you the widest choice of the very best locally produced foods.
Visiting Saddleback Farm Shop is an enjoyable experience for all the family. Take the opportunity to buy good quality, locally produced and home cooked food. Enjoy the surroundings with our free range chickens, goats and sheep behind the shop near the tea room and enjoy our play area outside the tea room with sand pits and children’s ride on tractors.
